What are Systemic Family Constellations?
Therapists of many different schools have used family constellations for over three decades to bring the hidden dynamics operating in intimate relationship systems to light.
Rather than simply focusing on the individual in isolation, this work differs from other therapeutic approaches in that it explores each person's intrinsic place in the groups or 'systems' to which they belong. (Hence also called systemic constellations). These 'systems' may be our current family, our family of origin, our workplace or even the environment we live in.
Developed by the German philosopher and psychotherapist Bert Hellinger, Family Constellations thus provide a solution-focused process. Bert Hellinger didn't invent the method, but he did discover how it can be extended beyond making destructive dynamics visible. He found out how the same method can be used to help people identify what can be done and how to use the representatives' reactions to modify the family dynamic, allowing love to flow freely again.
One of the most profound therapies in Europe today, Family Constellations is now available to you in Windsor, Berkshire.
What happens during a workshop?
At a Family Constellation Workshop, participants wishing to explore their own issues are invited to set up their own constellation using members of the group. In setting up a family constellation, the issue holder chooses other group members to represent the members of his or her family and moves them in the room until their positions relative to one another "feel" like they felt in the family. The representatives become a living model of the original family relationship system. The incredible thing is that, if you set up your family authentically, the representatives begin to have feelings and thoughts very close to those family members felt -- without prior knowledge.
However, it appears that by creating a "living map" of an issue or situation, simple truths can come to light and be understood. In the second part, the facilitator aims to find a re-soulution.
We don't know how it's possible for the representatives to feel strangers' symptoms, and Bert Hellinger refuses to speculate about it saying, "I'm unable to explain this phenomenon, but I see that it is so and I use it." Sceptics have a hard time believing that people representing others whom they don't know can experience in their own bodies what those persons felt, what they needed, and what will help. So, if you are a dedicated sceptic, you won't be convinced until you have an opportunity to experience the phenomenon yourself. (Bert Hellinger, Love's Hidden Symmetry)

Couples & Relationships Issues
Have you ever wondered what makes relationships succeed, what breaks them apart?
In this workshop we will explore a number of issues that are important for the succeeding of relationships.
In the morning sessions we will be looking at relationship and couples issues from a systemic perspective through teaching and exercises.
The rest of the day will be dedicated to exploring relationship issues through setting up systemic constellations.

Symptoms & Personal Issues Workshop
Although the emphasis of the day will be on Symptoms and Personal Issues explored from a systemic perspective, Gaye will be happy to work with anyone and any issue. Time permitting, there will be a brief introduction to some of the teachings that have come out of this work relating to symptoms and personal issues. The rest of the day will be dedicated to exploring dis-ease & personal issues through constellations.

It can be hard to believe, but sometimes the behaviours of family members who were not even present change for the better after a family constellation has been brought to a good resolution.
You do NOT need to have an obvious issue with your family to benefit hugely from this work.
Gaye Donaldson
Gaye is a Family Constellation practitioner and registered BACP counselor, and she has been engaged with Systemic Constellations since 1995. Since then she has worked personally and trained with Bert Hellinger and many internationally renowned practitioners. Gaye is now a director and teaching faculty member of the Centre of Systemic Constellations. She also studied homeopathy in the 1980s.

Cost for Introduction to Family Constellations with Marilene (12noon - 5pm):
- £40 full participant (includes setting up of own constellation)
- £20 Resource places (experience the workshop as a representative and/orobserver)
Cost for Symptoms & Personal Issues Workshop (2 Days):
- £160 full participant (includes setting up of own constellation) or
- £140 per issue holder if you book with a partner or a member of your family and you each want to set up your own constellation
- £70 Resource places (experience the workshop as a representative and/or observer)
- £40 Therapist accompanying a client (same package as resource places)
Cost for Couples & Relationship Issues Workshop (1 Day):
- £59 per participant
- £105 per couple
- £60 needs to be added to the above prices if you wish to set up your own constellation with a focus on relationship issue during this workshop
